#FreeAtFairPark – a Social Media CrowdSource Campaign

Hi, friends!  We need your help! I’m kicking off a crowd-sourced social media campaign to promote next week’s FREE activities at Fair Park.

As many of you know, my partner, Celia Barshop, was part of the leadership team that made the launch of Klyde Warren Park such a success. In recent months, she has moved over to Fair Park where she has begun putting things in place to replicate that success!  She is having a great time and has a great team in place.

One of the challenges at Fair Park is that there are many misperceptions:

  • it’s not safe
  • it’s expensive
  • it’s hard to park, and expensive
  • it’s empty
  • there’s nothing to do
  • it’s really expensive

The best way for her to begin to change that thinking, especially among moms of young kids, is to do exactly what she did at KWP – create activities and an environment with three criteria: safe, clean & active!

Next week is Spring Break and it is her very first full-week of activities that will preview what’s to come. This is where you and I come in. Can you please help me promote the events? I will begin pushing out links and images and messages shortly, and I will post them here on my blog.  I’m using the hashtags #FreeAtFairPark and #FairParkSpringBreak along with their tagline “One Fun Thing After Another.”

If you have friends with big social-media followings, who love our City and Fair Park in particular, please invite them to be part of this campaign!

And THANK YOU!!
